Building Our Next Team

Westminster Warriors are launching a new U12 Mixed basketball programme. For children aged 10-12 (or 9 year olds born in 2016)

The vision is simple: start with a high-quality, consistent basketball programme and build it into the next Westminster Warriors competitive team.

The programme will have players training together regularly, developing their skills and gradually progressing towards playing games and eventually competing in an organised league.

The Weekly Programme

🏀 Monday – 5:00–6:30pm
Newman Catholic College (NW10 3RN) and/or North Brent School (NW10 0EX)

🏀 Thursday – 5:00–6:30pm
Newman Catholic College (NW10 3RN) and/or North Brent School (NW10 0EX)

🏀 Saturday – 4:00–5:00pm
Moberly Sports Centre (NW10 3NB)

Saturday will become our team and competition day as the programme grows.

Our first available Saturday is 10 October 2026.

Regular sessions will run during school term time (starting the week 14th September) of, leaving the school holidays available for camps and other basketball opportunities.

Start For Free

We want children and parents to experience the programme before deciding whether it’s right for them.

That’s why September is completely FREE.

Come down, train, meet the group and experience what we’re building.

There is no monthly membership charge until October.

Membership From October

From October, membership will be:

£60 per month, per child

Membership isn’t simply about attending a basketball session.

We’re building a club environment and pathway.

Membership will include:

• Monday and Thursday coached training
• Saturday team activity and games as the programme develops
• A pathway towards representing Westminster Warriors competitively
• FREE U12 season ticket for Westminster Warriors senior men’s home games*
• Discounts on end-of-term and holiday basketball camps
• Discounts on personalised Westminster Warriors kit
• Additional opportunities and benefits as the programme grows

*Junior home-game tickets are normally valued at £5 per game. Children must attend with a paying adult.

Where Are We Going?

We aren’t expecting to create a league team overnight.

We want to build it properly.

Stage 1 – Get Playing
Bring together local players who want to play and improve.

Stage 2 – Build The Team
Develop a consistent group training together every week.

Stage 3 – Start Competing
Use Saturdays for team activity, friendlies and increasingly regular games.

Stage 4 – Enter A League
Once the group is ready, establish a Westminster Warriors U12 team competing in an organised league.

And as the number of players grows, so does what we can provide – more games, better team opportunities, kit benefits, camps and a stronger overall programme.

More Than Training

We want the kids to feel that they belong to Westminster Warriors.

They can train together.

Watch the senior team together.

Wear the club kit.

Play games together.

And ultimately represent the club themselves.

September is where we start.

At Westminster Warriors, we believe basketball is the best sport in the world.

Maybe we’re biased, but once you fall in love with the game it’s hard to see it any other way.

Our mission has always been simple: provide more basketball to more ballers. Over the past year we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to grow our programme, and we’re pleased to say that our number of sessions has increased. More sessions means more opportunities for young players, beginners and experienced ballers to get on court, develop their skills and enjoy the game.

And we’re not stopping there.

As demand continues to grow, we plan to keep expanding so that even more people across the community can access quality basketball sessions. Basketball builds confidence, teamwork, discipline and resilience, and we want as many people as possible to experience that.

To help support this growth, we are looking for casual basketball coaches to join the programme.

Ideally, we’re looking for people based in North West or West London, but this is desirable rather than essential. What matters most is a genuine passion for basketball and a willingness to help young players enjoy and develop in the game.

Sessions are casual and paid, making it a great opportunity if you want to stay involved in basketball while making a positive impact in the community.
